Trainings and Workshops
Through my program Artist Gym, I partner with organizations of all sizes to present art-based development workshops for their community. These workshops allow participants to examine everyday problems and hard questions through creative problem solving and ensemble building. Artist Gym is perfect for staff conferences, team building events, family and community events, and training workshops. Artist Gym workshops can be personalized for your needs and community and are available for a one time event or a series of workshops.
We've partnered with major non profit organizations, including JCC Manhattan, 14th Street Y, All Stars Project of New York, and the Educational Alliance. Here are some testimonials for the program:
“Our community members expressed countless times how much they loved having a space to be themselves, share experiences and connect to one another through drama, movement and discussion . . . This collaboration also helped me understand how to encourage communication not just through speaking but through art, writing, movement and song. We would love to expand our partnership in the future by utilizing Electric Eye to work on more specific communication skills like conflict resolution and active listening. We’ve loved all of the work we have done with Electric Eye and hope that it continues!”
- Alex Lopinto, Adaptations and Ha Dereckh Program Coordinator, Center for Special Needs, JCC Manhattan
"Electric Eye artists bring their highly developed artistic and people skills to our students, and through play, performance, visual arts and conversation they together create a collective deep dive into the concept being explored. The Artist Gyms have helped reignite curiosity and playfulness in our students, who then bring the experience and impact of the Gym back to their families and communities."
